Sunday Chuck Day

The heavens parted, the seas quieted, the earth stood still. From her womb, the goddess brought forth Chuck Norris, sired by the sun, as a gift to mankind. He reclined upon the fertile soil under the crescent moon and immediately sprouted a beard. She spoke softly to the young child and said “Go forth and roundhouse kick people in the face” So it was spoken and so he does. Every now and then he also sells exercise equipment and wears awesome clothes.

Sunday When-Day

I've kind of felt like this all week...

Since when did being different become bad?
When did speaking your mind become offensive?
When did asking for honesty get you lies?
Since when did you change for the worse?
When did judging people become right?
When did it become right to ask the least
from the people you expect the most of?
When did pain begin to hurt so much?
And when did this all start?

Easter Sunday

I noticed the great full moon these past couple of nights, but did not realize it was the Paschal Full Moon...

Last Friday was an AMAZING day for me, but I didn’t realize it was “Good Friday”...

I didn’t know that Easter was the end of Lent… But I never held up my end of the deal on that. I’ve been cursing more than ever...

And the Easter Bunny didn’t get the Memo that I had to work on Easter… There is no Candy Basket or eggs to find at my place of employment...

The New Testament teaches that the resurrection of Jesus, which Easter celebrates, is a foundation of the Christian faith. The resurrection established Jesus as the powerful Son of God and is cited as proof that God will judge the world in righteousness. God has given Christians "a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” Christians, through faith in the working of God are spiritually resurrected with Jesus so that they may walk in a new way of life.

Thankful For Sunday's...

Dear 8 pounds 6 ounces... new born infant Jesus, don't even know a word yet...

I declare this week, Dry Week! Which can be taken in a couple different ways I'm sure... But I have 2 in mind; No more Snow/Rain and no more Booze this week... I think everything around and inside me could use a good drying up or detoxing.

Sometimes I’m thankful for Sunday’s, because the weekends are just too rough on me!

Hate The Sin and Love The Sinner

~Mohandas K. Gandhi~

Hate the sin and love the sinner.

It is easy enough to be friendly to one's friends. But to befriend the one who regards himself as your enemy is the quintessence of true religion. The other is mere business.

Silence is a great help to a seeker after truth. In the attitude of silence the soul finds the path in a clearer light and what is elusive and deceptive resolves itself into crystal clearness. Our life is a long and arduous quest after Truth, and the soul requires inward restfulness to attain its full height.

Sunday Whyday

Dear 8 pounds 6 ounces, new born infant Jesus, don't even know a word yet… I have some questions:

~ Why do people complain about it being too cold during winter and complain about it being too hot in summer?

~ Gripe about the weather being to dry and gripe about it being too wet when we get moisture?

~ Trash talk their jobs when there are people out there who are begging for ANY type of work? ~ Complain about their life situations and are too ignorant to realize they are where they are, because of the choices they’ve made?

~ Cry because work took away something as stupid as a ‘Boot Voucher’ when they already have a closet FULL of boots and shoes at home?

~ Find fault in wearing personal clothes to the work place, because it puts wear and tear on them. But then whine when management offers uniforms to the whole department?

~ Cry about not having money, but brag about something they bought?

~ People always say “I ate too much”, very rare do you hear someone say “I ate too little”…

People are so quick to protest the negatives, or turn simple things into a negative and dwell on it, day in and day out…

I guess what I’m thinking, saying, ranting about is that everything could always be worse and every negative comes with a positive. Sometimes you just have to spend a little more time looking for the positive…

Sunday's Not Always A Funday!

"I've sent in my application to the Real World. So I'm hoping to hear back from that. I'm putting A LOT of my eggs into that basket, the MTV basket. I'm also thinking about getting a gun, and dealing crack. Being a crack dealer. Not like a mean crack dealer, but like... like a nice one. Kinda friendly like, "hey, what's up guys? Want some crack?" I'm just waiting on those two things to flesh themselves out."

Sunday Snowday

Dear 8 pounds 6 ounces, new born infant Jesus, don't even know a word yet… I would like to Thank You for some things:

2010 has been a great year for me so far!

I’m thankful for having such a wonderful job that provides me great benefits and Health Insurance and that creates very minimal stress in my life. My great Co-workers who make my days fun, humorous and who provide me great cuisine. You guys have also become some pretty good friends and great people in my life. Thank you!

I’m thankful for my group of close friends (you know who you are) who I try to spend all my free time with. You guys complete my life! You always have my back, support me, there for me when I need you, encourage me and we can sure have some amazing times when we throw down... Love you guys!

I’m thankful for finally getting my crap together and growing up by getting my own place… I feel so liberated and I also feel as if I’ve created a new party place for everyone to escape too!... Good times and plenty more to come.

I’m thankful for finding love and being loved… Because The only people you need in your life, are the ones that need you in theirs.

Life is good right now and will be even better when I win the Powerball this year!

In honor of the 2010 Winter Olympics...

"I like to picture Jesus as a figure skater. He wears like a white outfit, and He does interpretive ice dances of my life's journey."

"Dear Lord baby Jesus, lyin' there in your ghost manger, just lookin' at your Baby Einstein developmental videos, learnin' 'bout shapes and colors. I would like to thank you for bringin' me and my mama together, and also that my kids no longer sound like retarded gang-bangers."

Sunday's

I’m not a religious person, never have been and probably never will be. I was baptized Catholic and attended a Christian Church for a short period while I was in High School. With that said, obviously religion confuses me... I believe in a higher power, I’m just not exactly sure what that higher power is…

Maybe it’s Vodka…

But anyways I always feel a little guilty for spending Sunday’s to cure my hangover of bad decisions and acts of debauchery while others are in Church or doing something spiritual to help improve themselves somehow… I read a small Hick website called Ranchers.net everyday. It’s pretty much Facebook for the Cow Folk… (‘em I cow folk? No, not really. Do I Ranch? No, not currently. Do I ride horses? That I do. Do I have time to waste while at work? Yes, yes I do)… Anyways there’s a guy on there who goes by the ‘handle’ of Shortgrass and every Sunday he takes a scenario of something realistic and compares it to something in the Bible. Now that kind of comparison and explanation I can grasp. So every Sunday I read his little blurbs and it makes me feel like I’ve done my spiritual soul searching for the week and I can then have a drink and move on with life… Sometimes it gives me that warm fuzzy feeling.

But what I’m getting at is that I like that he takes time out of his day to sit down and write something that people can relate too and possibly make them feel better about themselves… So I’ve decided to do something similar in hopes to help improve someone’s day in some way and somehow. So with that said…

“I like to think of Jesus with like giant eagles wings, and singin' lead vocals for Lynyrd Skynyrd, with like an angel band and I'm in the front row and I'm hammered drunk!”
